“Always Filled Out Locker Room With Joy”: Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, and More Come Together as WWE Legend Loses Her 20-Year-Old Beloved

While a family is not just restricted to the people we share blood with,  pets tend to make up an important part of it. And if they have been with us for almost two decades, the loss in particular is saddening. Something similar happened with WWE Hall of Famer Lita. Recently she announced the devastating news of her pet dog’s passing and the WWE Universe sent their heartfelt condolences.

A death in the family

Taking to Instagram, Lita shared the passing of her beloved dog, Mackenzie, who is fondly known as The Kenz. She wrote a heartfelt message to her pet pooch as a sort of goodbye. Lita wrote, I always knew it couldn’t last forever so we made the most of our decades together every day.” She further added that Kenz showed her love and affection that she had never experienced before. Lita also thanked her by saying, “I am devastated and heartbroken but beyond thankful to have had our story together”

She concluded by saying that she will always love her no matter what. Fans and almost everyone in the WWE fraternity knew about the bond they shared. The Kenz has been a constant companion of Lita and was almost 20 years old at the time of her sad demise. The star made sure that her beloved pet accompanied her wherever she went. There have been pictures online where fans could see The Kenz playing along with other WWE stars.

As the WWE stars who have interacted with Mackenzie cherish their fond memories, they offered their condolences to Lita in during the difficult time. 

Becky Lynch and others send their condolences

Becky Lynch who was Lita’s tag-team partner for a brief time was one of the first few people who reacted to the devastating news by saying, “I’m so sorry 💔.”  Trish Stratus who recently debunked her retirement rumors also wrote a heartfelt message. The star who had teamed up with the duo to take down Damage CTRL earlier this year said, “Our little road buddy for as long as I can remember… gonna miss our girl.” She also added that Mackenzie, “had the best mommy anyone could ask for” and also commended Lita for giving The Kenz a good life. Natalya, who was also a former tag team partner of Lita showed solace by writing, “Kenz was so awesome and always filled our locker room with so much joy.”

She also mentioned that she will be thinking about Lita and The Kenz and will keep them in her prayers.  Along with her former tag team partners, other stars from WWE also shared their feelings upon hearing of Lita’s loss. SmackDown’s backstage interviewer, Cathy Kelley wrote, Sending so much love!” Former WWE star, Sonya Deville also sympathized by saying, Ugh I’m so sorry 😞 we all love Kenz ❤️ sending all my love.” Along with them, NXT ring announcer Alicia Taylor also joined in to stand in solace with Lita.

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let’s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
