A few days back, Jim Cornette commented on the Becky Lynch situation, which sparked a ton of outrage in the wrestling universe. Cornette’s words weren’t pleasing to anyone, and he has garnered a lot of hate. Now Becky Lynch’s fiance WWE Superstar Seth Rollins has addressed the issue on WWE’s After the Bell podcast.

Jim Cornette’s comments about his fiance hurt him, claims Rollins. He adds that he has lost his respect for Cornette, just like several others have.

“It hurt my feelings on a personal level because Jim Cornette is someone who’s a legend in our industry, and he’s someone that I’ve personally worked within my time at Ring of Honor.

“For him to come out and say some real negative things, some real misogynistic things, about women in general and pregnancy in the industry. It kinda caught me off guard, and it made me lose a lot of respect for someone who – like a lot of people – I had kind of already lost a lot of respect for.

“I was holding on to hope that somewhere along the line; there was a personal connection between Jim and I that would make him think twice before making just some egregious comments about women and about my wife. I can’t even forgive him; I don’t even want to repeat them,” said Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins has made his stance clear. He supports his fiance. In addition, he acknowledged that she is tough and that she will get through this.

He mentions how being pregnant can’t help you earn the big salary you used to. He added that she could have made this choice a few years down the line. Considering how it will force Lynch to part with her spot at the top of the food chain.

Jim Cornette said, “You can’t always be on top of the wrestling business in a $1 million a year spot or more, but you can [have a baby] — what is she? Can she be 30? [Lynch is 33]

“Well, still she’s got many more years before the f*cking Easy-Bake Oven gets shut off. She can have all those problems like a distended stomach and stretch marks and hemorrhoids and hormones problems and mood swings and all those other joys of motherhood later on WHEN SHE AIN’T MAKING A MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR!!!

“She’s got plenty of time left. What would you do if your wife came home and said instead of making a million dollars next year, I’m gonna basically just be a raging bitch for the next nine months and then give you more sh*t to worry about around the house?!”

Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer has reported that Becky Lynch’s pay would continue. So that should put Jim Cornette’s take on the issue to rest.

Becky will always be one of the top Women to have ever wrestled and being a mother is a blessing. We wish the best for both Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins and we hope Jim Cornette realizes the grave mistakes in his words.
