CM Punk Leaves WWE Roster Behind to Secure Top Positions at Merchandise

CM Punk is known for hijacking everyone’s attention and energy. The WWE Universe stayed enchanted by his charm for nine years even after he quit WWE. This was evidently visible since spectators couldn’t help but chant his name even when no mention of him was ever made. 

Ever since ‘The Best in the World’ has returned, his attention-hijacking game has heightened by several notches. While he already broke many viewership and engagement records with his comeback, he has now established dominance in another area. In fact, a recent social media post reported that CM Punk has left the entire WWE locker room behind in a significant metric.

CM Punk’s shocking return to WWE at Survivor Series last year has solidified his status as a major attraction, steadily gaining popularity each day. Fans’ excitement continues to escalate with every appearance. Notably, he has claimed the top spot in Pro Wrestling Tees’ merchandise sales this year.

Since rejoining his former company after a decade, the Second City Saint has been on an impressive run, leaving fans in awe of his accomplishments in such a short timeframe. According to WrestleOps’ official X page, the top sellers of 2024 include CM Punk at the forefront, followed by Randy Orton and Jey Uso, with Cody Rhodes and Bray Wyatt also making the top 10.

The list is as follows- “The top selling t-shirts on WWE Shop (Jan 5):

1: CM Punk (Return T-Shirt)

2: CM Punk (Hell Froze Over T-Shirt)

3: Randy Orton (Strike First T-Shirt)

4: Jey Uso (Yeet T-Shirt, Black)

8: Randy Orton (Daddy’s Back T-Shirt)

9: Bray Wyatt (Eater Of Worlds T-Shirt)

10: Rhea Ripley (On Top T-Shirt)”

CM Punk’s two T-shirts have become extremely popular on the WWE Shop. WWE’s posts on Punk’s return drive up social media engagement.

This week’s RAW on USA Network saw a notable increase, with 1.884 million viewers and a 0.65 rating in the 18-49 demo, up from 1.459 million viewers and a 0.49 rating last week. His demand is so tremendous that he recently had to also apologize for the unavailability of some of his merchandise.

CM Punk’s much-anticipated return has led to a remarkable increase in demand for his merchandise, reportedly causing items to quickly sell out. Punk in December 2023 shared two WWE merch options on his Instagram Stories, including an autographed 8″ x 10″ photo from Survivor Series 2023. 

Unfortunately, to the disappointment of eager fans, Punk discovered that the signed pictures had already sold out on the WWE store. In a rare display of humility, Punk publicly apologized to fans for the unexpected sell-out, acknowledging the enthusiasm and support.
