WWE will hold this year’s Survivor Series premium live event in Chicago on Saturday, 25 Nov. As you know, Chicago is the hometown of CM Punk. Thus, many fans are hoping to see him return to WWE at the PLE. Recently, he said that he won’t return to WWE at the PLE.

The reason he gave was his dog. He said that his dog had injured himself. Thus, he is busy taking care of him. This is not the first time Punk’s dog (obviously unintentionally) has interfered in his professional life.

Punk recently appeared as the special guest on Bernstein & Holmes Show on 670 The Score. During his interview, he let his fans know that his dog had gotten injured. His dog tore his ACL (probably while playing). So this has kept the superstar very busy lately.

He said, “I have an injury in the family. My dog [Larry] blew his dog ACL. I’m literally just spending my time with him. I know that sounds crazy, but he is my son, and I take care of him and treat him as such. Everything has kind of stopped. I’m fortunate to take time off from everything. I’ve canceled the things I have coming up.”

He added that he has taken some time off work to help his wife AJ Lee care for their injured dog. This is why he won’t make it to Survivor Series next month. Dogs are like family, therefore leaving a family member when they are injured is out of the equation, as Punk claimed that he loves his dog like his son.

An incident like this transpired in the past when Punk put Larry’s needs before his professional duties. Such a scenario happened in 2017.

With AEW firing Punk, the WWE Universe has been praying for his return to the Stamford-based promotion. Survivor Series taking place in Chicago seemed like the best day for his return. But it looks like the chances of it happening are very slim.

In 2017, Dwayne Johnson was filming his Seven Bucks Production film, Fighting With My Family. He went to Raw in February of the same year to film a scene between AJ Lee and Paige where the latter was to beat the former. As they were filming a scene after Raw went off the air, the crowd started chanting Punk’s name (husband of AJ Lee).
