It is an exciting time to be a pro wrestling fan. The 2024 Elimination Chamber is just days away and the fallout following the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press has already left fans wanting for more. Last week on SmackDown, qualifier matches for the Elimination Chamber were announced. Apart from that, there were pretty interesting in-ring segments, including company’s COO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque firing shots at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. This week at Monday Night Raw, fans are in for a treat at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky as the Road to WrestleMania has already begun and we get one step closer to Elimination Chamber.

An unlikely alliance at Raw

While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, Cody Rhodes might open the show this week. There are a lot of things he needs to talk about with his fans. First off, he will address the infamous slap. In case you missed it, Dwayne Johnson slapped Rhodes at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press. Another thing that happened that day was Seth Rollins coming to his rescue.

While he was about to teach The Rock a lesson, he was stopped by the officials present on the stage. This week, the two might discuss the event. Apart from that, Rollins is featured along with Reigns, Johnson, & Rhodes in the WrestleMania 40 teaser trailer. This might be a hint that The Visionary will play a major role in Rhodes’ journey to finish his story. One more thing that could happen today is the appearance of Triple H. The COO might like to have a word with the two and while the two are prominent faces of the company, H might suggest them to tag along, since both Reigns and Johnson are now after Rhodes.

Elimination Chamber Qualifiers

Tonight, there will be three Elimination Chamber qualifiers. Two will be for the men’s division, and one will be for the women’s division. From the men’s division, two of the greatest stars from SmackDown will be making their way to Raw tonight. LA Knight will be facing off against Ivar who has been wreaking havoc at Raw for the last few weeks. However, Knight might be at an advantage tonight. Last week, The Defiant One created a distraction during the AJ Styles vs Drew McIntyre qualifier match. This distraction worked in the favor of the Scottish Psychopath and he was able to secure a win. This week, McIntyre might return the favor.

Or, considering how powerful Knight is, he might help Ivar win and then take him down some other time. McIntyre has been unapologetic about his actions lately. Fans should be prepared to see the solo heel work against the moral, and ethical code tonight.

The second qualifiers match from the men’s division tonight is against Bobby Lashley and Bronson Reed. While Reed has proven himself to be a weapon of mass destruction, his chances of winning against The All Mighty are pretty slim. You tell us who will win? Bobby Lashley or Bronson Reed?

Liv Morgan’s singles return

The Elimination Chamber qualifier match will be between Liv Morgan and Zoey Stark. Morgan made her WWE return at the 2024 Royal Rumble. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see her in the ring fighting a solo match. Well, their prayers have been answered as she will be facing Stark tonight, however, they both have their agendas. Morgan has stated that she is in her vengeance era as it was Ripley who injured her which led to Morgan taking some time off. This is the reason why she wants to go to the Elimination Chamber and win the match so that she can face The Eradicator at WrestleMania 40.

Stark on the other hand, is on a mission to prove herself. The star who was drafted to Raw back in 2023 has quickly risen to fame due to her athleticism. However, the major roadblock in her journey has been Ripley. The star wants to make a name for herself by making it to the Elimination Chamber and possibly slaying Mami at WrestleMania. But Morgan has been coming strong since her return. Things might be in her favor tonight.

R-Truth vs JD McDonagh

Let’s face it, this one has been long overdue and we have seen it coming. Since Truth returned, he has been trying to establish himself as a member of the Judgment Day. This has led to some hilarious segments but there is someone who is not happy with Truth. While they did square off in a Loser Leaves Judgment Day match a few weeks ago, McDonagh and Truth will once again fight as the latter had cost McDonagh his match against The Miz last week. While we don’t know who will win this fight, one thing is for sure, we will be in for a good time.

Jey Uso vs Gunther

This might probably be the main event for tonight. Last week when Gunther was celebrating his 600 days as the Intercontinental Champion with the Imperium, he was interrupted by Jey Uso who wants to have a title shot. Along with that, the tag team of New Day will be accompanying Uso in this endeavor. Tonight there will be a six-man tag team match where Gunther and the Imperium will be facing Jey Uso and the New Day. Keeping all speculations aside, Gunther and the Imperium technically have a higher chance of winning tonight. While there might be some friction between Gunther and Impreium’s Ludwig Kaiser, they know their way inside the ring.

Apart from that, Uso will be teaming up with the New Day for the first time. It might take some time for the tag team and Uso to learn how to work with each other. Regardless, we might get a new stable at Raw and maybe in the long run, they might win a few championships. Tell us in the comments below which segment are you most excited about.

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
