Tonight’s edition of SmackDown decided to be a crowd-grabber right from the get-go. What was expected to be a simple contract signing for the fatal four-way between Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles turned out to be a carnival of chaos.

And one moment that caught everyone’s eye was LA Knight being legendary on the mic, as he usually is, with Paul Heyman in his crosshairs.

For the contract signing of the match, the three challengers first made their way to the ring, waiting for the final man and the title holder, Roman Reigns, to enter and sign the contract. But instead, Paul Heyman came out. Heyman claimed that he and Roman have yet to get the contracts through their lawyers, and the board of directors won’t agree to the 4-way agreement. Thus implying that they won’t be signing it and almost leaving for backstage.

But before he could do that, Nick Aldis announced that since the other challenger had already signed the contract, he would consider the Universal Championship belt vacant. Visibly annoyed, Heyman made his way to the ring and went on to subtly berate Aldis by calling him “mediocre.” However, LA Knight had enough of it, simply stopping Heyman by saying, “Will you shut the hell up?”

He further went ahead and stated how Heyman is right about one thing: “You’re right about one thing; this should be a one-on-one match. I had Roman Reign’s shoulders pinned at the crown jewel before his cross-eyed half-wit cousins saved him.”

Well, he did not just stop there as being the ever-so-witty, he still had some more quips in him to share. “But Paul, you speak one more word, and I’d cut bacon off your back. This should be my rematch, but instead some Johnny come latelies walk up, and suddenly they get to jump in front of the line and be a part of the match that should be mine after having a few months off.”

Well, AJ had enough of it, and what started as an in-ring brawl after both their promos culminated into a one-on-one match between the two. However, it was ruled a no-contest, thanks to interference by Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso. And what followed was an all-out brawl.

All hell breaks loose on SmackDown

Following the attack on LA Knight and AJ Styles, Sikoa says, “Two down, one to go,” and calls out Randy Orton for the main event of the night. What followed was an adrenaline-pumping showdown between the two. Announcement table, steel steps—nothing was off limits for them.

With Orton overpowering Sikoa, Jimmy tries to interfere but is stopped by LA Knight, who gets a cheap shot, and while it looked like Jimmy would be able to interfere again, this time AJ comes to the rescue. Sikoa goes for the Samoan spike, but Orton RKO’s on his way. When it looked like we could see a team-up between the three challengers against the ‘Tribal Chief’, Knight took a swing at Styles only to receive an RKO by Orton, which followed another RKO for Styles.

And when fans thought they could breathe a sigh of relief from all the stress the non-stop action could’ve caused, in comes Reigns with a Superman punch to Orton. The tribal chief then signs the contract, but teasing Aldis, he drops it instead of handing it to the manager. However, Aldis had the last laugh, as when Reigns lines up Orton to greet him with a spear for good measure, he finds himself on the mat after the Viper lands an RKO out of nowhere, being the last man standing and possibly the one to dethrone Reigns. Fans can’t believe all that occurred tonight on SmackDown 1/19, so can’t we?
