“Dumb A** Jean..”: Dwayne Johnson Mocked Iconic WWE Rival with Help from Best Friend Kevin Hart Once

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has had a few big rivalries during his time in WWE. He feuded with the likes of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, and many more while with the company. But one of his most personal feuds came against 16-time WWE Champion John Cena.

Cena took many shots at DJ during the feud, for leaving WWE to pursue his acting career. There was even some real-life animosity that played into the storyline. But since their two big money matches at back-to-back WrestleMania events, there is much mutual respect between them.

The two are now good friends and have spoken highly of each other, with Cena admitting that The Rock helped him in his Hollywood career.

They are now even involved in friendly banter with each other. Along the same lines, a few years ago, Johnson, along with his frequent co-star Kevin Hart, mocked Cena for his trademark jean shorts he wore during his WWE run.

We often see Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart making fun of each other while they are together. The two engaged in banter, which is quite hilarious at times.

This one time, though, the duo joined hands to have a go at DJ’s WWE rival John Cena. In 2016, the duo sat down with reporter Chris Van Villet to talk about their movie Central Intelligence. In the movie Dwayne Johnson’s character, Bob Stone often wears jean shorts. Villet asked him whether his character wore jorts (jean shorts) because of John Cena, who made them popular in WWE.

The Rock said, “No, I’m wearing jorts because that’s how I roll.” Kevin Hart quickly intervened to mock Cena and his jorts wearing habit. He commented, “That is true. John Cena does wear them dumb a** jorts. Them dumb a** jean shorts. I remember now. They come to like his calf like with a weird hem in them. Cuff ’em up buddy!”

The People’s Champ responded, saying, “He embraces the jorts dude. He embraces that sh*t.”

For a change, The Rock and Hart teamed up to troll someone else. Cena’s run in WWE was characterized by him wearing jorts and oversized bright-colored T-shirts. Interestingly, The Rock did make fun of Cena’s attire during their feud in 2012.

After their initial rivalry, which led to matches at WrestleMania 28 and 29, with each winning once, Cena and Rock became more respectful of each other’s work. In fact, ‘The Leader of Cenation’ even thanked ‘The Brahma Bull’ for paving the way for his Hollywood career and also said that his advice helped Cena be a better Hollywood actor.
