In the last few days, there has been a lot of drama in WWE. Since Dwayne Johnson has returned, fans have questioned the internal workings of WWE. However, one burning question revolved around Triple H letting Johnson take over the creative decision. The accusations came into the picture when the rumors that Johnson’s terms & conditions before becoming a Board of Directors at TKO Group included that he wanted to main event WrestleMania 40.

While he might not be doing it since he has turned heel, it looks like he is not on good terms with Triple H, kayfabe-wise. But this won’t be the first time, The Hunter will have to deal with something like this.

Back in 2014, fans called out Batista for infamously taking over the WrestleMania 30. However, it was not just fans who were frustrated by him. Triple H was already dealing with a lot of things since he was the COO of the company. After Batista’s return and the emergence of the “Yes Movement that fans had been running to support Daniel Bryan, who fans thought was more deserving than Batista, he snapped. While he did call out fans and Randy Orton, he pointed at Batista and said, “I am sick of Hollywood movie stars coming back here thinking they can tell me what’s right for this business thinking they know more about this business than I do.”

While this was a part of kayfabe, fans have been making sarcastic comments that this is how HHH might be feeling right now. Just like the Yes Movement from 2014, there has been a recent wave of We Want Cody chants. Fans had hijacked almost all the social media platforms to get their word out that Johnson, who was going to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania 40 did not deserve it.

And it looks like it worked! At the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Press Event, it was confirmed that Rhodes would go against Reigns. However, there have been rising tensions between H and Johnson. Following the press meet, Johnson was seen dropping an F-bomb while talking with Triple H, telling him to “fix things.”

Things are falling a bit in line with the 2014 incident. But, would we get to see Triple H vs Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
