For more than a year, it has been known that Drew McIntyre‘s contract was expiring around the dates of WrestleMania 40. Over time, more details came up on the front as we found out that his contract expires at the end of May. But fret not WWE and McIntyre fans, as after a few weeks of negotiations, the Scottish Warrior has finally signed a new contract with the WWE again.

And how do we know that? Because The Rock just revealed it in style through his social media.

The Rock’s big reveal and a gift of McIntyre

Drew McIntyre’s previous contract was set to expire before WrestleMania XL. However, WWE added time to the Scot’s contract because of his periods of inactivity due to injury. Extending the term of it until after the big event. Eventually, both parties agreed to continue working together, with “The Final Boss” publicly congratulating the former world champion on Instagram while also presenting him with an iconic gift, a CLAYMORE SWORD! Johnson uploaded a video on Instagram where he congratulated McIntyre while reminding him that he is a man of his word. “As we talked about after your #WrestleMania match, I know this Scottish Claymore represents everything that you, your family and your country embody. Alba gu bràth 🗡️ As you know, I wanted to personally hand deliver this gift to you at your meeting with Nick Khan, but I had warm cheat meals and chilled tequila waiting for me 🗡️🥃😉. Congrats again brother and cheers to hunger, passion, climbing that mountain and always entertaining our fans.”

McIntyre is one of WWE’s most prominent talents. The Scot finally reached his dream of winning on the grand stage at Mania. As he defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However, his celebrations came to an abrupt end after being attacked by CM Punk. And then being the victim of the exchange of the Money in the Bank briefcase by Damian Priest. Who cashed in and walked out with the gold on his waist. The first details of Drew McIntyre’s renewal with WWE

As reported by Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, Drew McIntyre has a new multi-year contract. And it is also quite significant on a monetary level. The Scotsman is very happy with how his new deal has turned out for both him and his family. PWInsider has confirmed that the details were finalized in the last couple of days. Moreover, a source suggested that the contract spans around three years. In addition, the Rock’s video was shot well in advance. So that it could reach the public eye immediately after the negotiations closed.

Drew McIntyre’s future lies in WWE, at least for a few more years. His prominence on television has recorded an uptick, especially with his stellar heel work during the last few months.
