Vince McMahon is the guy who made pro wrestling popular with his brand-new programming style during the 90s. His innovative ideas took the wrestling industry to its peak during the Attitude Era. But the big boss has not been the same guy off late. Fans have openly bashed his creative ideas and the way he has handled WWE talents.

Although he has stayed away from WWE creative recent reports suggest he was back at it during the last edition of Monday Night RAW. Speculations are that some of his decisions have poorly affected the show despite the presence of Triple H.

Vince McMahon is back. Back after a major spinal surgery and back after a successful business deal with Endeavor that resulted in the formation of TKO Holdings. Although he is no longer a part of the WWE creative, which is headed by his son-in-law Triple H, he was involved in the latest RAW episode. Pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer stated that Vince McMahon made major changes to Monday Night RAW on 10th September while working remotely from Roanoke.

As reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer said, “But Vince is back, Vince made significant changes to the show. I don’t know what the changes were. I’m sure that they will probably come out tomorrow.” He further stated that a lot of changes were made to the show throughout the day.

The Monday Night RAW Main Event had a Raquel Rodriguez vs. Rhea Ripley match, a repeat of their Payback match, only to feature a returning Nia Jax. Fans were disappointed by the main event finish. There is speculation that Vinnie Mac might be at the helm of things for this.

RAW ratings were heavily impacted this week as they pummeled to 0.40 TV ratings (age 18-49 years group), their second lowest of the year. The show aggregated a mere 1.35 million viewers which is the lowest viewership number in the history of the show, with the exception of the “Best of Raw” episode that aired on December 26, 2022.

The main event recorded 1.25 Million views, which is the lowest in the history of the show. But could Vince McMahon be the only reason for a poor outing?

There has been a trend of Monday Night Football affecting RAW ratings (also aired on Monday) in the past. So many WWE fans may take these recent numbers not that seriously and Vince McMahon will be hoping that numbers pick up in the coming weeks.
