There is something incredible about watching wrestlers keep up their insane physiques. Looking at the women’s division, today, the most physically dominating wrestler is Rhea Ripley, especially after her win at Payback. However, there used to be another wrestling star in the women’s division that perfectly combined glamour and the strength of an Amazonian. 

The former three-time Women’s Champion, Beth Phoenix recently posted an image on social media, prompting the rumor mill to start spinning. Social media is currently rife with speculation that the former wrestler is planning on making a comeback and she may go after her recent nemesis.

Beth Phoenix feels better at 42 than when she was 24

Elizabeth Copeland, a.k.a Beth Phoenix, is ranked as one of the greatest WWE female wrestlers of all time. Her active in-ring career spanned from 2006 to 2012. Even after leaving in-ring work, she stayed with WWE, making multiple appearances as a commentator at NXT. The biggest aspect of Phoenix was her physique. Even after retirement, it seems Phoenix is keeping herself in peak physical condition as was demonstrated during her feud with The Judgment Day last year. Now she has dropped photos of her from the gym to remind everyone that she is indeed ‘The Glamazon.’

Taking to social media recently, she uploaded an image of herself post-workout. In the caption, she said she never felt as good as she does now. Phoenix wrote, “At 42 I feel better than I did at 24. So incredibly grateful for this life and my health. Every day is a gift.” 

Despite not being an active in-ring competitor anymore Phoenix displayed an impressive physique at 42 years old. The Glamazon’s feats of strength captivated an entire generation during her run at the top of the Women’s division. With Ripley running the Women’s division with dominance, fans will hope The Glamazon will make a short comeback to confront her and deal with the unfinished business between the two.

While there are no official updates on Phoenix’s return to the WWE, fans are still hopeful. Her words on social media mirror what her husband said before his monumental return to the WWE.

Fans have been speculating that it could be Phoenix who stops Ripley’s reign after Rodriguez failed to do so at Payback.

Why hasn’t Phoenix made a WWE return yet?

During the post-Elimination Chamber match in 2023, Phoenix was asked why she hasn’t made a full comeback like her husband, Edge. She answered by saying that the women’s division is not what it used to be. She wants to make a comeback only when she knows she can put on a worthy performance for the fans. 

Interestingly enough her husband the aforementioned Edge, recently had his farewell match for the WWE. It remains to be seen if he returns with his wife or if her return is independent of his. Given that the last time Phoenix was in WWE it was to aid her husband in his battle against the Judgement Day the faction Ripley is a member of.

In response to her Instagram post, several WWE stars and friends were the first to comment. Eve Torres, Reby Sky, and Natalya sent their compliments to the former wrestler, with Natalya saying, “You look incredible!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥”.

This was followed by several fans asking The Glamazon to return to put an end to Ripley’s reign.

“Would b awsome if u help owens n zayn get the titles back cuz of rhea🔥🔥,” one fan said. Others echoed the sentiment.“Girl if you don’t return and take rheas title,” another said.

One fan said that Ripley was the perfect target to see Phoenix make a comeback. “Beth phoenix we want to see you as a champion again please Rhea ripley is perfect target, ” they said.

Responding to Phoenix’s comment on being grateful for her health, another fan said: “YOU created the gift of health. Don’t forget to pat yourself on the back. “

One fan had a special request, “We need The Divas of Doom as Women’s Tag Team Champions! “

Phoenix returning to face Ripley would be a dream match as her husband put Ripley under the spotlight. Edge recruited Ripley into Judgment Day only to get betrayed by them. Moreover, Phoenix was on the receiving end of a Con-Chair-To by Ripley, which could lead to a more personal program between the two.
