The Elimination Chamber was the last PLE before WrestleMania 39. The event featured five matches on the card, including two titular men’s and women’s matches. All the encounters had something to entice the watching audiences. And the crowd in Montreal was heavily involved, making it the loudest event in some time. The success of the PLE is not only subjective but is backed up by numbers as well.

It’s not been long since the 2023 Royal Rumble was the most-watched iteration of the PLE in WWE history. The new regime under Triple H seems to be getting many things right. One of those definitely has to be the mammoth successes the recent premium events have been. And the recently concluded Elimination Chamber is no different. Here are four stats that prove that the event was a major triumph for WWE.

The event has been a staple of the WWE since 2010. But this year’s Elimination Chamber definitely delivered big. Apart from becoming the most viewed version of the event, it was the most grossing as well. The WWE officials would be buzzing with the second consecutive event achieving this feat. And we are just in the month of February, with WrestleMania 39 fever yet to grip the wrestling community.

2. Meteoric Rise in viewership numbers, breaking up a record that was set just last year

This year’s version saw an insane climb up in viewership numbers. With a rise that was 54% more than what was achieved last year. This steep rise in the number of people who tuned in to watch the event points to the stellar work that the Stamford-based promotion has put up.

This can also be credited to the great use of Raw and SmackDown. The weekly shows were used cleverly to build and advance storylines to great effect. The Bloodline – Sami Zayn saga definitely created interest. A short video involving the Canadian and Roman Reigns became the most-watched WWE clip ever.

3. Largest Montreal crowd ever at a WWE event

This one would count as a proud achievement for the higher-ups. It surpassed the highest attendance ever in any WWE event held in Montreal. Considering the last PLE that took place in the city was SummerSlam, back in 2019. It is one of the four ever-present events in the WWE. That’s why this achievement is nothing short of extraordinary.

This last one is no mean feat to achieve, particularly in this day and age. Especially if one takes into account the bygone eras and the rosters that WWE had back in the day. The achievement looks all the more amazing. The credit for this must be given to all the departments involved.
