WWE has always been about the amalgamation of great storylines and intense wrestling bouts. There have been many superstars who rose to immense popularity being a part of these two. One current example would be Cody Rhodes, who has engrossed fans with his captivating storyline. However, not many saw this day coming, but his father, Dusty Rhodes, knew it from the start.

The Rhodes family has been in the wrestling business for many years now. The American Dream is still one of the greatest wrestlers that the pro wrestling world saw. His experience in the industry is unparallel. Even though he is no more with us, the veteran predicted the future of his younger son, Cody, early in his career. An AEW star, who once formed a short-lived tag team alongside The American Nightmare, once revealed this fact.

While speaking highly of his former tag-team partner turned AEW rival, he remembered how the wrestling veteran Rhodes’ father had already predicted the current scenario.

Spears said, “I remember. We were in OVW and we were a tag team. And Dusty, his dad, came down, and he was all ‘Hey baby, we’re going to put you guys together. Young, good-looking guys. You got a little bit of experience… Cody was very popular. He didn’t have much experience but he was very popular… It was a really smart idea, but Dusty said ‘Nice babyface tag-team, we’ll give you a bit of a run.”

“But I just need you to know Cody is destined to be a star.’ He told me that way back when. I don’t think Cody was in a year. But he[Dusty] knew it,” the 42-year-old added.

Along with narrating this anecdote from the past, Spears also emphasized the far-sightedness of The American Dream. However, that being said, this revelation also questions everything that Roman Reigns said ahead of WrestleMania 39.

Roman Reigns’ mocking statements under scrutiny now

It’s not unknown to wrestling fans how close Reigns was with Dusty Rhodes. There have been several instances where The Tribal Chief boasted about his relations with the Lt. veteran. Most of these comments came when WrestleMania 39 days were coming closer.

Not only did The Powerhouse mock Cody Rhodes with such remarks, but once his special counsel crossed the limits. All those negative remarks pointed at how Reigns was closer to Dusty Rhodes than his own son. Paul Heyman even said that Rhodes might be his father’s favorite son, but it was Reigns whom he wanted

However, now that Spears revealed the prediction of the WWE legend, all those remarks of Roman Reigns come into question. Now, it is up to the audience to make their conclusion that which side stands correct.
