The stakes went even higher when Johnson badmouthed Cody’s brother Dustin Rhodes.

The Rock even received payback from Cody Rhodes when he dissed Goldust in the form of a slap. However, it seems that Dustin Rhodes would like to do his bidding now and enter the battle as well. In fact, this new development has sent fans boiling over the edge for an official showdown.

When Dustin Rhodes emerged from his slumber

Ex-WWE Superstar Goldust, who now wrestles under his real name, Dustin Rhodes, is known for his excellent WWE tenure. While his partnership with Cody Rhodes as Stardust may have failed, they make an ironclad duo in real life. A new video tweeted on X now shows that the elder Rhodes wants to slam a fist into The Rock’s face as well. The tweet carried the caption, “F*ck. @TheRock 👏 👏 👏 .@dustinrhodes.” 

The footage showed Dustin Rhodes holding two championship belts and cussing the same words after asking the cameraman to zoom in. Notably, Cody Rhodes’ wife Brandi Rhodes had also come after Dwayne Johnson after he insulted Goldust.

However, it seems that the AEW star has woken up from his slumber. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are scheduled to take on The Rock and Roman Reigns on night one of WrestleMania XL. It is obvious that Reigns will have The Bloodline on his side to assist him.

Fans are hell-bent on uniting Cody Rhodes with Goldust

Social media has ushered in a new era of fantasy booking that has allowed fans to make their own pro wrestling matchups. Laying down the requirements for one such map, a fan posted an entire roadmap of how AEW and WWE can work together.

This desire was shared by several other fans who expressed it deeply in order to manifest the revamped WrestleMania XL matchup.

One of the fans even tagged Tony Khan and asked the AEW President to make a small exception just for this match.

Lastly, a Cody Rhodes supporter said that they weren’t content with Goldust helping The American Nightmare on just night one.
