After a triumphant victory at WrestleMania XL, the Final Boss handed something to Rhodes before he rode off into the sunset. For the first couple of days, it emerged as the hottest topic in pro wrestling. Now, fans have narrowed down all it can be. However, The American Nightmare may have finally given us an answer we all knew from the start.

The mystery of the unknown object handed over by The Rock boiled down to either Dusty Rhodes’ watch, a Rolex that Rhodes gifted Johnson, or something else. Now, we have an answer to what it could be.

On the Sports Illustrated podcast with Jimmy Traina, Rhodes talked about his WrestleMania XL journey. Covering everything from winning the Royal Rumble to facing Reigns on Night #1 and #2. Near the end, however, he was asked about the gift he gave The Bloodline troupe. Reports had suggested that Rhodes gifted Reigns and Johnson Rolex watches after their match. The American Nightmare said, “I can’t confirm that I gave them one to Rock or Roman.” While giving a gift to a fellow wrestler isn’t a major topic, not revealing whether he did or did not spark the speculation that he did.
