WWE stars John Cena and Nikki Bella were among the most-known celebrity couples before their eventual breakup in 2018. The pair had issues over starting a family for most of their relationship and decided to split just weeks before they were supposed to get married.

Their decision to call off their wedding was also not the first time they went down that road. Earlier on an episode of Total Bellas in 2018, Cena and Nikki Bella shunned their marriage plans only to reconcile later. But the second time they decided to not go ahead with their wedding, it seemed more permanent and so it proved. But immediately after making such a huge decision, Nikki Bella appeared conflicted about her choice.

John Cena’s relationship with Nikki Bella was a complicated one. The reality TV shows such as Total Divas and then Total Bellas gave fans a deeper look into the dynamic of the relationship between WWE’s former power couple. The show revealed heartwarming moments between the pair, but fans also got to see them break up due to their preferences over starting a family. And despite John Cena later agreeing to give Nikki what she wanted, they went their separate ways.

The third season of Total Bellas in 2018 saw Nikki Bella and John Cena finally separate after a drawn-out saga over starting a family. In the last episode of the season, Nikki Bella discussed with her sister that she doesn’t want to have any regrets after calling off the wedding.

She said, “It sucks because both ways I don’t wanna make a mistake or regret it. I don’t want to live my life and then look back and think I chose to be unhappy. I don’t want to look back and be like I lost the greatest thing I ever had.” 

Talking to the camera, the former Divas Champion also said that only time will tell whether her she made the best decision of her life or the worst.

Nikki Bella got married to Artem Chigvintsev

After breaking up with John Cena and being worried about her decision, things turned around for Nikki Bella. She began dating reality TV star Artem Chigvintsev with whom she shared the dance floor in 2017 on the show Dancing With the Stars.

Nikki Bella confirmed their relationship on an episode of Total Bellas in 2019 and made it official on her Instagram handle. The couple then got engaged in the same year.

They finally got married in August 2022 and have a child together. Moreover, Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev recently starred in their own reality show titled ‘Nikki Bella Says I Do’ which focuses on the couple’s romantic life and their wedding preparations.
