In the world of professional wrestling, the ongoing battle between WWE’s NXT and AEW continues to captivate the audience. This week, both shows grabbed the attention of fans, as both events had power-pack performances and matches lined up. NXT grabbed headlines as World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins shattered records while AEW narrowly escaped a potential setback thanks to the WWE legend’s masterful performance.

AEW’s Dynamite and WWE’s NXT both events were a success, and highly entertained the fans. But looks like WWE legend Jeff Jarrett was successful in turning the tide in AEW’s favor slightly.

AEW Dynamite managed to surpass NXT’s viewership numbers this week. Thanks to Jarrett’s skillful and entertaining performance. While Rollins made waves on NXT, AEW’s strategic utilization of Jarrett’s star power propelled them ahead in the battle to gain more viewership.

During the latest episode of Dynamite, Jeff Jarrett engaged in a captivating ‘Concession Stand Brawl’ with Mark Briscoe, surprising the audience.

The highly anticipated segment drew 972,000 viewers, providing a significant boost to the show’s viewership. The show averaged up to 902,000 viewers across its two-hour runtime on TBS.

Comparatively, Seth Rollins’ appearance on NXT broke viewership records. NXT’s viewership ascended up to 773,000 viewers. This was the highest overall viewership for “NXT” since April 20, 2021, and the highest viewership in the key demo since a Halloween Havoc-branded show on October 28, 2020.

Rollins was able to successfully defend his World title against former NXT Champion Bronn Breakker. Despite Rollins’ popularity, AEW surpassed them with good numbers of viewers.

AEW had another grand surprise planned for the audience as CM Punk made the surprise entry to the event.

CM Punk makes a surprise entry at AEW’s Dynamite

Despite not being advertised, CM Punk made his grand entry at AEW Dynamite. His entry made the fans surprised and excited. It was well documented that Punk would only stay on AEW’s new TV show Collison and not appear on Dynamite, but that does not appears to be the case.

The Second City made a timely entrance to assist Hardy Brothers, Ricky Starks, and FTR. Despite deciding to never return to Dynamite, his return was imminent.

Hardy Brothers were paired up against The Gunns in the first match of the night but after they were down by the Bullet Club Gold and the Gunns which promoted Ricky Starks and FTR to come out. Punk then ran down to the ring to a great ovation to clear the ring.

Making the return to AEW’s flagship show after ten months of hiatus, CM Punk made a significant impact during his surprise appearance on the show. The Chicago native took hold of the microphone and issued a bold challenge to the opposite heels to a 4-on-4 tag team match.

AEW surely has fans hooked up with its interesting twists and turns. And their numbers are proving they are doing a good job.
