For starters, that flight had the biggest names in WWE like The Undertaker, Vince McMahon, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Paul Heyman. With so much star power on that flight including Brock Lesnar, it is good to know that nothing untoward happened on that flight. But after that flight,  WWE Hall of Famer Curt Hennig aka Mr. Perfect learnt one thing for sure, never mess with Brock Lesnar.

So the year is 2002 and all these wrestlers were returning on the WWE-chartered flight from the UK to the US after the Insurrextion PPV. Hennig was really intoxicated, and he ended up putting shaving cream on Lesnar’s head which infuriated him. This resulted in a brawl at 35,000 feet and Lesnar slammed Hennings into the emergency door, almost opening it and putting everyone’s life in danger.

On the recent episode of his podcast The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, he narrated the entire bone-chilling incident. He said, “He picked him up like he was driving him into the turnbuckle and drove him into the emergency door there. We’re at the highest elevation flying over the Atlantic Ocean. Like, ‘Holy s**t.’ It was terrifying. I remember them hitting and me making eye contact with Taker like, ‘F**k,’ and it was just like, ‘What if this would’ve opened?’ We would’ve all died.”

Luckily everyone on that plane ride was safe and today all those wrestlers just talk and laugh about it. But that incident didn’t end well for Curt Hennig.

Curt Hennig was fired from the WWE post that brawl on the flight

Mr. Perfect was one of the top superstars in the company in the 90s. He won the Intercontinental Championship twice and had an undefeated streak which went on till Wrestlemania VI as well.

But injuries eventually led him to become a commentator for the WWE. Later he signed up with rival WCW in 1997. Then in 2002, he returned to the WWE at Royal Rumble making it to the final four participants.

This was his third run with the WWE and everyone thought it would be as successful as his stint in the late 80s during the wrestling boom period. But his brawl with Brock Lesnar on that flight which jeopardized everyone’s life led to him being fired from the company. Ironically Curt Hennig’s last appearance in the WWE was in a match against Matt Hardy which he lost on May 7, 2002. But Curt Hennig had a strong influence on Brock Lesnar as he mentioned in his book.
