Buckle up! We are just a day away from WWE Raw’s Day 1 edition. This will be marked as the first show of 2024, and interestingly, it will take place on Monday, and coincidentally, the date will also be January 1st.

The Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California, is set to witness a plethora of captivating matches with Exuberance. Moreover, this very episode could shape some new storylines for the Royal Rumble. With that being noted, let’s have a look at the matchcard and some possible predictions for the show.

World Heavyweight Championship Match- Seth Rollins (C) vs Drew McIntyre: Their rivalry has certainly set the stage on fire, especially because of Drew McIntyre’s heel turn. Even though McIntyre will be desperate to win the title, which he never won in front of a crowd, it won’t be appropriate for the WWE to crown a new champion. The reason is simple: Why would Rollins lose a title on a weekly show? And don’t forget his rivalry with CM Punk, which could take center stage at WrestleMania for the world title.

And considering the fraction of the ‘Scottish Warrior’ with Sami Zayn, it could be possible if Zayn interferes eventually to cost McIntyre this opportunity.

Prediction: Seth Rollins wins via interference from Sami Zayn

Women’s World Championship Match- Rhea Ripley (C) vs Ivy Nile: Rhea Ripley’s current reign as a champion seems way too dominant and won’t end that easily. Even though Ivy Nile looks like a talented starlet, it will be way too early for her to get her hands on the title. Thus, Ripley might have the upper hand.

Prediction: Ripley retains the title

Becky Lynch vs Nia Jax: In the latest buzz, Becky Lynch has been hailed as the next in line to go for the world title. Considering the feud between Lynch and Jax, ‘The Man’ could have an upper hand and might take revenge for her 2018 broken nose. However, this will be the reason for a brawl but not a legitimate match between the two.

Prediction: No contest

#1 Contender’s Tag Team Match- Tegan Nox & Natalya vs Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark: We have seen plenty of times how a newly formed tag team excels in the WWE. Thus, it could be possible for Baszler and Stark to win this contest, which might be a stepping stone in their story to become the new tag team champions later.

One take at a time

Discussing what I witnessed on every episode of Raw with all my friends was what initially kept me connected with WWE. While everyone around me was gushing over John Cena, I was the only one rooting for 'The Best in the World' CM Punk. The best day was when my hero stood tall against theirs at the 2011 Money in the Bank PLE.
