Dwayne Johnson re-entered WWE this year because he wished to become the head of the table and take Roman Reigns’ place in the Anoa’i family. Due to a social media campaign that fans ran, Cody Rhodes was given back the opportunity to ‘finish his story’ this year. Now, even though The Rock is a Bloodline member, he probably still has eyes on Reigns’ position in the faction.

This puts the three wrestlers in a unique competition. With WrestleMania XL approaching, let’s compare their strengths directly with the weights they use while training their bodies.

Can the two wrestlers beat Dwayne Johnson’s record?

Both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns can be well-recognized for their strong physiques apart from their wrestling skills. Although one exercise does not determine the ultimate strength of a person, it is a close enough comparison. In 2014, The American Nightmare replied to a fan tweet asking him about the weights that he uses during his workouts. The former AEW EVP revealed back then that he benches 365 lbs. It has been 10 years since then, but because that was the last set record by him, we will consider the same for this comparison.

The Tribal Chief, on the other hand, reportedly has a record of benching 445 lbs if the sources across the internet are to be believed. While Rhodes could be on par with him now, Reigns still has a win over him, according to the stats we currently have.

The Rock’s record is unbeaten by either of these superstars. In the past, the WWE legend has claimed to have hit 450 lbs on the bench. This makes him the strongest out of all three when comparing their bench press records. However, there is someone who has left even DJ behind.

Johnson is not the heaviest of lifters in WWE

John Cena has had a passion for bodybuilding even before he signed with WWE. The former wrestler’s training has paid off in the form of him being able to lift heavier weights. Usually, The Cenation Leader claims to lift lighter weights with high repetition. However, to check his strength, he has benched 480 lbs.

This makes the Hollywood superstar one of the strongest men on the WWE roster. Although these training records are broken often, all the bench records that we discussed are impressive nevertheless.
