Reigns recently teased the upcoming showdown on Twitter/X, posting a photo with the WWE championship belt and captioning it, “We stackin bodies tonight. #RoyalRumble.” Each of Reigns’ challengers holds a legitimate grudge against the Universal Champion.

Roman Reigns secured a rare double pinfall victory at WrestleMania 37, defeating Edge and Daniel Bryan in the main event. With Jey Uso‘s outside interference, Reigns executed a con-chair-to on both opponents, marking a significant step forward for WWE. The match, originally set for Reigns vs. Edge, took an unexpected turn with Edge’s heel turn, making it a Triple Threat.

Anticipation for the match grew as each superstar had a legitimate chance to win, adding intrigue to the main event. Edge was a slight favorite at -150, with Daniel Bryan as the underdog at +290.
