Amid mysterious vignettes and a cryptic message on the video screens, Spears emerged hooded inside the ring and stunned the WWE Universe by knocking out Ridge Holland with a chair. This unexpected return marked the end of his hiatus from television since his last appearance at All Out.

Spears’ departure from AEW was amicable, as he expressed gratitude for his five years with the company. Now back in NXT, Triple H’s knack for bringing back talent has once again proven effective, with the former AEW making a splash upon his return to the black and gold brand.

Even WWE’s official Twitter has confirmed the comeback of Shawn Spears. Check out the excitement below! 

Cody Rhodes has joined the conversation, hitting Twitter with a simple yet intriguing post: “10.” Known for their real-life friendship, Rhodes and Spears have shared some memorable moments in AEW, including a notorious chair shot incident. 

Meanwhile, Spears’ wife, Cassie Lee (formerly Peyton Royce in WWE), has also weighed in on the return. She wrote, “You did that.” She also added a wink emoji. 

Surprisingly, Dwayne Johnson’s daughter Ava who is also the NXT general manager too took to Twitter to express her excitement about Spears’ return. She tweeted, “10/10 surprise if you ask me.”

Other notable wrestlers like Matt Cardona, Teil Rhodes and James Ellsworth all tweeted the number 10 in support of Spears’s comeback.
