A few days ago, Serena Williams announced her retirement date from tennis. The six-time U.S. Open Champion is going to retire after this year’s US Open. Following this announcement, fans and celebrities took over the internet. They showered Serena Williams with praise and congratulated her for her incredible career. And now, WWE chairperson Stephanie McMahon has also paid tribute to one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

Front Office Sports posted a tweet of a Nike ad that begins showing a young Serena Williams envisioning herself winning the U.S. Open. Stephanie McMahon retweeted this post and made a statement related to Williams‘ journey to superstardom.

Stephanie McMahon noted, “A powerful spot featuring one of the best athletes of our time and a woman who has shown that if you work hard and push through the people telling you ‘no’, anything is achievable.”

Just like the six-time US Open Champion, Stephanie McMahon has also achieved a lot in her professional career. She is also an inspiration for many women.

Even though she has not competed inside the squared circle much, the former WWE Women’s Champion has played a key role in the corporate side of WWE. Also, many people consider her a great heel and love her on-screen presence.

While Serena Williams can have some rest following her retirement after the U.S. Open, Stephanie McMahon has a lot to worry about. Just like Williams, Stephanie McMahon’s father, Vince McMahon, also announced his retirement a few days ago. And now, she has stepped in to fill the position left void after her father’s retirement.
