“There’s a Way to Do Things”: Hulk Hogan, Who Has Been Criticized in the Past For His Attitude Backstage, Fired a Shot at Stone Cold Steve Austin For Walking Out Before Brock Lesnar Fight

In addition to becoming the most well-known wrestler at the time and providing decades of fan entertainment, Hulk Hogan assisted the WWF and WCW in reaching new heights. However, rival wrestlers and other individuals assert that Hogan frequently took advantage of his other competitors for his own gain.
In a similar vein, Stone Cold Steve Austin was one of the legendary but infamous wrestlers. The Texas Rattlesnake was the company’s biggest star, but the management suspended him due to his unexcused walkouts. Hogan insulted him while discussing the same.

According to reports, WWE planned for a young Lesnar to defeat Steve Austin in a King of the Ring qualifying match on WWE Raw in 2002. At that moment, Austin resisted taking Brock Lesnar out and the Texas Rattlesnake walked out. Hogan mocked Austin when discussing the incident.
He said, “There’s a way to do things. And when a company has made somebody as much money and made somebody that big of a star. Instead of Hulk Hogan walking out, you know, I would put Brock Lesnar over and pass the torch. Because it’s not just Vince. It’s all those guys at the back that have made Hulk Hogan a star. All those guys at the back that made Stone Cold Steve Austin a star. He wouldn’t be where he is at if these guys didn’t take the stunner.”
Since pro wrestling is a two-way competition, Hogan might be accurate in saying that all the wrestlers who took the beating made Austin the biggest star and seemed to be superior to the other competitors. He also told him that instead of leaving, he would have to give Lesnar the mantle.
The decision to not confront Hulk Hogan in a fight is one of Stone Cold’s biggest regrets in his career
He said on his podcast with Hogan that one of his biggest career mistakes was not picking a fight with him. He stated, “I was in such a different headspace when that window of opportunity presented itself. Sometimes I kick myself in the ass over it. I was so frazzled towards the end and was just in a bad space. It never happened. And it should have happened.”
