Tony Khan lost another battle this week to the market leader of pro wrestling, WWE. Although he tried his best with Tuesday Night War between NXT and Dynamite, WWE took another win with higher TV ratings and viewership.

It led to Tony Khan having a meltdown on social media while calling out Triple H and Shawn Michaels, among others. However, many credit LA Knight and Roman Reigns for another great week for WWE with the SmackDown show this Friday.

Wrestletix.com posted a series of tweets to provide updates on live attendance numbers for all of the shows. The tweets highlighted the live attendance figures for the two best wrestling promotions in the world, WWE and AEW. WWE dominated AEW again this week in live attendance records over the three major shows WWE has. The data was taken from WrestleTix.com.

According to Wrestletix, AEW Collision show at Maverik Center in Toledo, OH, recorded over 4,300 tickets. AEW Dynamite show for this week took place at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri, and recorded 3,600 tickets in Live attendance sales.

On the other hand, WWE recorded better numbers for live shows. THE WWE RAW show at CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE recorded over 9100 tickets, and WWE SmackDown at BOK Center, Tulsa recorded over 10,700 tickets. Though it is to be noted that these are not the final numbers for WWE and AEW and it might be more, data reflects that AEW never had a seating capacity over 4500 for any show.

Still, these early numbers don’t bode well for Tony Khan who has been constantly taking shots at WWE in the buildup and aftermath of Tuesday’s rating war when Dynamite went head-to-head against NXT. Khan has targeted the likes of Vince McMahon, John Cena, and The Undertaker in his tweets. For WWE, it seems Roman Reigns’ return and LA Knight’s confrontation with him helped them a great deal.

John Cena was also announced for the show while fans speculated that LA Knight would come face-to-face with Reigns, which he did. Overall it was a strong showing for WWE and the numbers reflect their dominance.
