Endeavor has taken on a new role as the parent company for both the UFC and WWE. TKO Group Holdings is now a singular entity on the New York Stock Exchange as TKO. Vince McMahon, who ruled WWE for over 40 years, doesn’t run it anymore. He’s the Executive Chairman, so he still has power, but things have changed. WWE isn’t just about McMahon now. With this change in power, fresh news came up. A decorated wrestler who once had the fans eating out of his hands has suffered a major setback in his career. The reports are about Ezekiel, who now goes by the name Elias

An update on Elias’ future in WWE

Elias, a once-prominent WWE wrestler, has faced a significant downturn in his career within the company, raising questions about his future. Various sources reached out to WWE for information on Elias’ contract status but received no response. Elias’ contract was supposed to lapse by the end of 2022, yet he has continued to make occasional appearances on WWE shows this year. However, Elias hasn’t had a single match on television for over two months and has mainly been used as a supporting character.

His last solo victory dates back to October of the previous year, following his return as Elias after the end of the Ezekiel persona. The 35-year-old star has been a part of  WWE since he made his debut in 2014. In April 2017, he made his way to RAW, writing his name on the main roaster. Although his only championship was the 24/7 title, he established his status as a capable wrestler known for his crowd engagement skills. It’s concerning that WWE did not provide an update on Elias’ contract status. However, it’s worth noting that the company rarely discusses contractual matters publicly.

Before he became a part of WWE, Elias was a part of the International Wrestling Cartel, an independent circuit that originates from Pittsburgh. With this seismic shift in the confines of WWE, fans are wondering what this change in power will mean for Vince McMahon.

Ari Emanuel will be serving as both the Chief Executive Officer of TKO and Endeavor. He orchestrated the WWE purchase, bringing it under the Endeavor umbrella. The partnership’s intrigue lies in Emanuel’s potential contributions. While there will be some collaboration between WWE and UFC, it will be particularly in cost-cutting production efforts. Emanuel’s focus will be on boosting sponsorships, licensing, and securing new media rights deals. Vince McMahon, despite late script changes on Raw, retained influence.

However, it’s also important to note that McMahon now holds only 16.4% of voting power in the new organization. This significantly gives him less power as compared to 81.1% before the merger. Those resistant to change may find this transition challenging. One expected to thrive within the company is Paul “Triple H” Levesque, though he’s no longer a board member; he remains WWE’s head of creative. Notably, neither Dana White, UFC’s Chief Executive Officer, nor Levesque holds board seats, but they wield substantial influence.
