WATCH: Fans in Disbelief as John Cena Slaps the Taste Out of Brock Lesnar

For so many years, Brock Lesnar has successfully installed fear in the mind of some of his opponents. His dominance and destructive nature inside the ring have been key to this fear.

But there are some exceptions. There had been some superstars who have taken the fight to Lesnar. And one such superstar is the former WWE Champion, John Cena.

After Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012 following his UFC success, he picked John Cena as his target. On April 2, 2012, Lesnar returned and delivered an F5 to Cena on WWE Raw.

But on April 9, 2012, John Cena did something that no one, including Brock Lesnar, could have imagined. John Cena walked into the ring in between a segment involving Brock and John Laurinaitis.

Cena immediately went into action mode as he suddenly slapped Brock Lesnar. If you look at Lesnar’s facial expressions at the time of the slap, you can well imagine the impact of that slap on Brock’s face.

Brock is not someone who will keep quiet after getting slapped in the middle of the ring. The two men got involved in a massive brawl.

Later, Brock Lesnar took on John Cena in an Extreme Rules match at WWE Extreme Rules 2012. Though Lesnar dominated most of the match, Cena picked up the win in the end.

Where are Brock Lesnar and John Cena now?

Following his loss against Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 38, the WWE Universe has not seen Brock Lesnar on WWE television.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported Brock flew back home soon after WrestleMania 38.

We do not know yet whether Lesnar will show up at WrestleMania Backlash. But the fans will definitely want to see him back in action.

Coming to John Cena now. It has been several months since Cena last competed in a match in WWE. Apart from being a pro wrestler, he is also a top Hollywood actor.

And that is one reason behind John Cena’s current absence from WWE television. But the fans can certainly expect Cena to return to in-ring action in the future.
