While everyone quickly called it out as a hint to Bray Wyatt‘s Uncle Howdy’s return, Matt Hardy turned the attention around. On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, a similar QR code popped up. Fans quickly noticed it and scanned it to see what it led to.

For the past few weeks, the WWE has been dropping hints at the return of Uncle Howdy and Bo Dallas, who plays him. With interest peaked fans are not letting any clue slip by.

Another mysterious hint at Uncle Howdy’s return to the WWE

Tonight, Triple H made his way to the ring to unveil the new WWE Tag Team title belts, as he did on WWE RAW. However, as The Game made his way to the ring, the same glitch with the accompanying sound played for a split second. A QR Code appeared on the screen with the same bird logo. Fans who scanned the code were greeted with the image of an ominous figure almost blocking the sun. This commenced the debate over what it could mean and how it relates to the last image discovered.

Since the Bray Wyatt documentary video this year, the WWE has made it clear they want to continue the fallen star’s legacy via Uncle Howdy’s character. The mysterious enigma appeared alongside Wyatt as a tormented part of him. Fans were intrigued with the supernatural element and wanted to know where the storyline could be headed. Now, the WWE has plans on resuming or starting a new chapter for the character with a slow build. But will he be coming alone?

How Uncle Howdy could tie into Broken Matt Hardy

As mentioned above, Matt Hardy’s involvement in this storyline pleasantly surprised the fans. Since his contract ended with AEW, Hardy has been silent on his next move. However, after RAW ended, Hardy posted a status on social media with the segment featuring the QR code. This intrigued fans, as he never posted anything about the current WWE product.

Speculation is that if the WWE brings back Hardy, it may do so with the Broken Matt gimmick. This will be a tie-in with Uncle Howdy’s character.
