WWE and NFL Enter Major Partnership to Announce Legacy Belts for the Fans; Details Inside

WWE is the biggest pro wrestling brand in the world right now. Despite AEW packing the Wembley stadium with 81,035 fans for All In, WWE is still at the top of the wrestling food chain.

And continuing its domination in the world of sports entertainment, WWE just signed a multi-year licensing deal with one of America’s biggest sporting leagues, the NFL.

WWE and NFL announce NFL Legacy title belts costing $549 a pop

If you are a fan of the NFL and also the WWE, then please go get your wallet. WWE in collaboration with the NFL has come out with special legacy title belts.

These title belts will have the official colors and branding of all 32 NFL teams. They are already on sale on NFLShop.com, WWEShop.com and Fanatics.com. One of these belts will cost you $549 and there are various discounts available on the site.

This is the first ever partnership between the two sporting juggernauts and fans are hoping for more joint merchandise in the future. In 2021 WWE signed a similar deal with MLB and last year it procured licenses to produce custom side plates for 14 SEC teams.

After signing successful deals with the NFL and MLB, there is just one major sporting league that the WWE has yet to join forces with, the NBA. But talking about the NBA, do you guys remember the time NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal took part in a WWE main event?

Let’s go back in time to the year 2016. It’s April 3rd, Wrestlemania 32 is taking place at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas in front of a packed crowd of 80,709 people. This is the same record that AEW broke last night, but moving back to Wrestlemania 32.

The night was lined up with a number of star-studded matches but fans were eager to see the adrenaline-pumping Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Just as the ring got filled with huge athletes like The Big Show and Kane waiting to tear each other apart, Shaquille O’Neal made an entry to the ring with Desiigner’s hit song Panda.

Fans just couldn’t believe their eyes to see the biggest NBA star in a wrestling ring. Obviously, he went head-on with The Big Show, but Kane intervened with both the stars eventually teaming up to chokeslam Kane. Sadly Shaquille O’Neal got eliminated soon but fans will always cherish Shaq’s special appearance at Wrestlemania 32.
