Without Vince McMahon, WWE wouldn’t be the well-oiled machine that it is today. Vince McMahon’s aspirations for his company have often attracted a lot of criticism as well. In 1995, Vince McMahon had many doubters when he signed a famed former NFL Linebacker, Lawrence Taylor, to the main event WrestleMania 11. While many thought it was a bad move, a certain WWE Hall of Famer called it “genius”.

Wrestling veteran Ted DiBiase recently weighed in on Vince McMahon’s idea of introducing famous celebrities and athletes to WWE. Despite all the flak McMahon received for his booking, DiBiase believed in Vince McMahon’s vision. The former owner of the Stamford-based company brought mainstream attention to WWE by allowing influential athletes from other sports to lace up a pair of wrestling boots.
