The Crown Jewel show has hosted many remarkable dream matches involving retired stars whom fans would want to see battle one last time. The list involves players like Shawn Michaels, Goldberg, The Undertaker, Kane, and Triple H. 

Speculating the return of another superstar from the Ruthless Aggression Era, fans took to X to demand a dream match between a current star and former WWE Champion. Looking at Crown Jewel’s history, it seems a possibility. 

WWE Superstar hints through X at another return post-retirement

R-Rated Superstar Edge’s wife and former WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix aka Elizabeth Copeland, took to X and tweeted on September 9th “” It might be a hint toward a possible return to the WWE. The Glamazon, who had announced her retirement in 2012, has made an in-ring return recently with her husband.

Though her previous stint was a bit short-lived, she had a few memorable moments in the form of her mixed tag team matches with Edge. They faced The Miz and Maryse at last year’s Royal Rumble and then later faced Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor in another mixed tag team match at Elimination Chamber 2023. 

The match involved many memorable spots for the 3-time WWE Divas Champion, including a superplex to Rhea Ripley and a powerbomb to Finn Balor. The couple eventually won the match after Phoenix helped Edge pin Balor.

Throughout the match and her entire run (including all sporadic appearances), The Glamazon showed no signs of in-ring rustiness. Even though she was competing after a long hiatus. As a result of her performance, fans have started to demand Phoenix continue her rivalry against Mami if she makes a comeback.

Fans demand Ripley vs. Phoenix at Crown Jewel

Most fans suggest a match against Ripley at Crown Jewel PLE. Others are also hoping that this might mean Edge could be returning to WWE.

With Saudi Arabia being a focal point for WWE to pair formerly retired wrestlers with young blood, this idea doesn’t seem too farfetched.

However, while the consensus is that Phoenix might go against Ripley, nothing has been confirmed as yet. Fans are still hoping that Phoenix would take on Ripley though.

Some fans suggested a Tag Team run with her former partner Natalya to reignite the Divas of Doom.

After their initial run ended in 2012, the two wrestling divas reunited briefly from 2019 to 2020. So the fact that the two might reunite again isn’t farfetched either.

Another fan suggested Becky Lynch as an opponent for The Glamazon.
