Michael Chandler continues to ask for a match with Conor McGregor and this time, he did it live on Monday Night RAW. WWE was in Anaheim on Monday, two days after the UFC 298 pay-per-view event, so Chandler decided to stay in town and took advantage of his camera time as best he could. Chandler took the microphone away from the announcer and cut a fiery promo to try and taunt the Irishman.

However, it seems like another Irishman got confused at the beginning of the promo and feared that it was him being called out, as he had just revealed on X.

When Michael Chandler began his promo on RAW, he claimed himself to be the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet. And in the very next line, he called out the Irishman McGregor as he said, “Now there’s a man from Ireland who has been making me wait for way too long.” Hilariously, it seems like Finn Balor thought it was him being called out by the UFC veteran. Glad that it wasn’t him, he shared his reaction on X. He wrote, “@MikeChandlerMMA for a brief moment I thought you were taking about me… phew!”

Michael Chandler has been campaigning for a fight with Conor McGregor for over a year, as the two were supposed to clash after serving as opposing trainers on The Ultimate Fighter. On New Year’s Eve, the Irishman took to social media to announce that he would fight ‘Iron’ on June 29. However, Dana White quickly shut down McGregor’s ad, and now, after Saturday night’s event in Anaheim, the UFC CEO said getting the Irishman back to fight could be a problem.

But it doesn’t look like it would be much of an issue for the WWE to request the two to have a confrontation on ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’. This crossover was surely a well-thought-out decision by TKO. And although Dana White isn’t sure when or if Conor McGregor will fight again, Michael Chandler still seems adamant that will happen and continues to call for the showdown. But what about Finn Balor? Well, it seems like he will be a part of Judgement Day’s feud with R-Truth as showcased in their recent match.

After The Judgment Day beating last week, R-Truth had to pick up the pieces of his broken heart to stand up to them. A match was arranged, where Truth joined The Miz, Tommaso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano to face Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest.

The match started evenly with Gargano facing Finn Balor, but as soon as he fell into the dark corner, things soon changed; though when he was able to escape, Truth knocked McDonagh down and came close to knocking him out of the way. The two teams began to clash on all sides and the bodies ended up scattered on the ground, leaving everything quite even.

R-Truth was able to exact revenge on Damian Priest by leaving him quite decimated with several attacks, barely being able to react. The rest of his team shut out The Judgment Day, and although Truth led Priest into the count on a couple of occasions, Priest ended up landing a chokeslam to end the match. So now R-Truth is back to square one in trying to exact his revenge and earn back the respect he lost. Do you think we may get to see him finally win at WrestleMania 40? Let us know in the comments.
