Shane McMahon to Play a Key Role on WWE’s Road to WrestleMania 38

Shane McMahon shocked everyone when he entered the Royal Rumble match this year. He entered at number 28 and eliminated Kevin Owens. The subsequent winner of the match, Brock Lesnar eventually eliminated Shane McMahon. 

When the show wrapped up, the news came out of Shane booking the whole Royal Rumble match. Many young talents and fans were upset because of this Royal Rumble match booking. However, there were some good reactions to this year’s Royal Rumble match, so Shane didn’t really book the match that badly.

After the Royal Rumble, rumors also floated around about how Shane will now be a regular on WWE for some time. Now, PWInsider has confirmed the rumor on their website.

Shane McMahon will be appearing regularly on the Raw brand going forward, PWInsider.com has confirmed. We are told McMahon will be a heel going forward.”

If he will play a heel on RAW, the only potential feud for him is against Kevin Owens. As seen in the Royal Rumble match when Shane entered the ring and directly went towards Kevin Owens and eliminated him. 

He can also have a match at Elimination Chamber which is in Saudi Arabia this year. WWE has a history of having veteran wrestlers on the match cards when having a show in Saudi Arabia. He can reignite his feud with Kevin Owens on next week’s RAW and subsequently face him at the Chamber.

Also, by including Shane McMahon as a regular face on RAW, we can expect some major changes for WrestleMania 38. Let’s see how Shane books the matches for this WrestleMania season. He will surely play a key role ahead till WrestleMania, however, it is unclear which matches he will be involved in.

Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon have a history together when they were on SmackDown back in 2019. Owens won the ladder match and could kayfabe fire Shane McMahon from WWE.

As seen on the latest RAW episode, Kevin Owens lost his Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Matt Riddle. Next week on RAW Owens can meet Shane while he searches for Adam Pearce for a rematch for the spot. There Shane McMahon can come up with some stipulation as a heel authority figure.
