Ryan Garcia Provides Major Drug Test Update Related to the Gervonta Davis Fight

One of the most anticipated lightweight bouts is on. Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis have been in talks for a long time. Their fight had its share of problems. Both sides had a discord on who will get the staging rights in case of a rematch. But it seems like all is sorted, and the fans will get what they always wanted. This fight has a lot of build-up in the boxing world and is well-awaited. The fight is scheduled for April 15 and will take place in Las Vegas. Recently, Ryan Garcia took to Instagram to give an update to his fans about the fight. He got himself tested for drugs ahead of the bout in April.

‘Tank’ vs Garcia fight is on…

Ryan Garcia posted on his Instagram to update his fans about getting the drug test ahead of his bout with Gervonta Davis. Garcia said, “My favorite time of the day.” Moreover, he added, “Clean fighting always.” Garcia is preparing himself for his super fight with Davis.

Mike Coppinger from ESPN Tweeted about the confirmation of the fight. He said both fighters had signed the contracts for their fight on April 15.  The contracts have been sent to Dazn, responsible for broadcasting Garcia’s fights, and the deal will be sealed soon.

Gervonta Davis, on the other hand, received unsettling news ahead of his bout with Garcia. The Baltimore Boxer has pleaded guilty in a hit-and-run case, and his sentencing is scheduled for May 5. Meanwhile, fans are not worried about the fight as this news does not affect the date of the scheduled fight.

Canelo Alvarez weighs in on the lightweight fight

It isn’t easy to pick a side with respect to this super-fight. But Canelo Alvarez has made that difficult decision. In an interview with TMZ, The current super middleweight undisputed champ discussed who he thinks will win the fight.

Alvarez expects Davis to win the fight between the two. He said, “got more experience. ” Moreover, he added, “It’s gonna be a good fight. “ Canelo thinks that Davis has more experience than Garcia, and it will help fight ‘KingRy.’ Furthermore, he added that Garcia is a good fighter but needs a couple more fights to get that experience before fighting Davis.
