Although such legends are signing off from the tennis court one by one, the world’s no.1 player in men’s singles Carlos Alcaraz is now being regarded as the Big Three rolled into one, according to a former Canadian tennis player.

Last week, the 19-year-old Alcaraz marked his first triumph at the Indian Wells Masters against in-form Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. Although many tennis stars are walking away from the sport in recent years, former British No. 1 Rusedski believes watching Alcaraz play reminds him of the Big Three, Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic, rolled into one.

Rusedski claims Carlos Alcaraz is the perfect successor to the Big Three

Former British player Rusedski had some words of high praise about Carlos Alcaraz after the performance at the Miami Open.

“He’s the most technically complete player I’ve ever seen at 19,” Rusedski claimed in an interview with The Times. He further said, “He’s almost like a combination of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic rolled into one. Everyone worried about what’d happen after ‘ The Big Three’ are gone. Well, Carlitos showed up.”

Andy Murray wants to keep a keen eye on Alcaraz

Following Rusedski’s statement, Andy Murray came into the picture with his take on Alcaraz. Murray believes that the young lad does not miss out on showing his best skillset. However, Murray believes that Alcaraz is still not the biggest player to breakthrough into the professional circuit when compared to past legends.

Murray further continued that the game Alcaraz is expressing on the court comes naturally at his age. He particularly mentioned how Alcaraz needs to maintain the style and attitude he is showing currently as he matures on the Tour.
