Miami Open 2021 is attracting an awful lot of attention outside of the invigorating tennis matches this year. Specifically, the meltdown of Canadian professional Vasek Pospisil in the opening round has got everyone’s attention. Now, his good friend, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, has expressed kind words of support for him.
In essence, the 30-year-old Canadian called out on the ATP Chairman’s behavior in the player’s meeting in Miami. What’s interesting is he did that in public, and that too during his first-round match against American Mackenzie McDonald.
After the match, Pospisil apologized immediately for his unprofessionalism, and since then, has gotten many fellow players empathizing with his situation.
