The Australian player is having quite a successful season. After reaching the Wimbledon finals, he was considered one of the favorites to win the US Open this year, but unfortunately he couldn’t move past the quarter-finals. Russia’s Karen Khachanov defeated the 27-year-old player to advance into the semi-finals of the tournament.

Nick Kyrgios picks his best tennis player

The Australian star is quite open about who he chooses as his number one. This time it was none other than the 22-time grand slam champion Rafael Nadal. Kyrgios earlier shared a tweet where he chose some famous tennis players based on NBA 2K ratings. 

Recently, he shared a post of the same, in which he has picked Nadal as his highest ranked player. He wrote in the post, “My ratings are spot on in my opinion.” But this came as a shock, as he didn’t pick Roger Federer. However, because of a knee injury, the former world number one did not have a significant year.

Kyrgios to skip the Laver Cup

However, the Australian player had made it clear that he would not be a part of Team World this year. Earlier this year, Kyrgios announced that he will not participate in the Laver Cup as he wanted to focus on his family.
