The third decade of the century will be commencing in a few weeks from now and #TwitterMomentsOfTheDecade is trending. As a suggestion to the same, ATP Tour came with their nomination for the moment of the decade. They suggested Rafael Nadal welcoming Ana Ivanovic when she joined twitter in 2013.
That year, she posted a winking picture of hers and wrote, “Hey guys, nice to join you! :)” The then-12-time Grand Slam champion, Nadal tweeted, “@anaivanovic welcome to this mean of communication. Looking forward to exchanging tweets with you.”
As a response to the tweet, Ana thanked Rafa and also questioned him for being formal. Post that, there was no acknowledgment from Rafa’s side regarding the same.

2008 French Open champion, Ana Ivanovic retired from tennis in December 2016. She mentioned that it was difficult for her to continue with high standards of tennis and competing in big tournaments. The Serbian tennis professional wanted to begin a new chapter in her life. She has won 15 WTA titles throughout her career.

After her Grand Slam breakthrough 2018, Ivanovic was ranked number one in the world after her win over Dinara Safina in the Paris major finals. That year both Rafa and Ana were French Open champions. At the 2017 French Open, a ceremony was held on Court Philippe Chatrier to honor Ana Ivanovic.

Before hanging her racquets, Ana Ivanovic tied a knot with the German professional footballer, Bastian Schweinsteiger. They were hitched in Venice in July 2016. In March 2018 the couple announced the birth of a baby boy, Luka and in August 2019 their second son was born. The family is based in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

The Spaniard ace, Rafael Nadal concluded his 2019 season as the World Number one tennis player and with two Slams. As an icing on the cake, he was also successful in winning the sixth Davis Cup title for his nation, Spain.
World Number one, Rafa will begin his tennis season 2020 at the ATP Cup 2020 in Australia where he will be in tandem with his compatriot, Roberto Bautista Agut.
