Stephen Curry has finally broken the all-time record of Ray Allen and now owns the three-point record. The Warriors guard achieved the feat at the Madison Square Garden against the Knicks. Apart from breaking the record, Curry also played an important role in winning the game for the Warriors, as they comfortably registered their 23rd win of the season.
Several current and former NBA stars have showered praise at the ‘Baby-faced Assassin’ for achieving the massive feat. Shaquille O’Neal is among the latest stars to congratulate Curry for breaking the record. During ‘NBA on TNT’, O’Neal went on to admit that Curry has changed the game. Indeed, the game has changed since the 2009 draft.
Curry now owns the all-time record with 2,977 threes. Fans are now calling him the greatest shooter in NBA history and we can’t stop being excited about that. Curry understands the sentiment, and he himself is now comfortable with that name.

Stephen Curry ‘comfortable’ in calling himself the greatest shooter now
Curry led the scoring charts for the Warriors in their win against the Knicks at the MSG. After the game, he admitted that he didn’t want to call himself the ‘greatest shooter’ until he bagged the all-time record.
“I never wanted to call myself the greatest shooter until I got this record. Now, I feel comfortable saying that,” Curry said after the game.

That is indeed a dignified gesture coming from Curry as he wanted to be respectful to Ray Allen, who formerly held the all-time record. Curry is definitely among the most respected players in the NBA, as he has always tried to be humble both on and off the court. Despite winning back-to-back MVP awards, Curry has been respectful and has become an example for others to follow.
