2024 looks to be one of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson‘s biggest years. With a return and heel turn in the WWE, he started the year off with a bang. Setting a match with his cousin Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins boosted the attention and hype for WrestleMania XL. However, his work in Hollywood isn’t done for the year, as he announced his upcoming project Moana.

Moana, the animated film released in 2016, was a box-office smash hit, earning over $600 million. Johnson, who voices the character Maui in the film series, provided an update on the future of the franchise.

Posting on Instagram, Johnson said, “Love seeing this positive impact for our world of pro wrestling.” Along with it was a headline by Mike Roe that stated that with Johnson’s return to the WWE, the rating was up. Taking credit for it, Johnson stated that WrestleMania would just be the beginning. This hints at his future program involvement as WWE joins with Netflix.
