Caleb Plant Trolls Errol Spence Jr. With Witty Dallas Cowboys Meme

Caleb Plant had to relinquish his IBF Super Middleweight title to Canelo Alvarez in 2021. It was the first defeat of his career. But the tough Tennessean has been through much tougher hardships in his personal life. So, he made it a point to bounce back the following year. On October 15 last year, at New York’s Barclays Center, Plant knocked out former WBC Super Middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell in the ninth round. The victory created new possibilities for the thirty-year-old.
As a matter of fact, Plant’s victory over Dirrell landed him on the collision path with another big name in the division. Arizonan David Benavidez won the WBC Interim Super Middleweight title on May 21 last year. He will now be required to defend it from Plant’s challenge.

Active on Twitter since 2016, ‘Sweethands’ has nearly 89k followers! It seems that he often enjoys throwing jokes and puns at fellow boxers. For instance, the outcome of a recently held football match was enough for him to pull the legs of a reigning champion.
On Monday, January 23, The Dallas Cowboys lost 19-12 to the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s stadium. The divisional-round playoff loss comes in the wake of the Cowboys’ twenty-seven wait for an NFL Championship. Soon news of a fight among The Dallas Cowboys fans at AT & T Stadium made headlines.

Probably following the game updates closely, Caleb Plant took to his Twitter handle and punned at Dallasite Errol Spence Jr.
@ErrolSpenceJr my dad told me to send you this 😂😂😂. No smart remarks either pal because me and my dad have been eagles fans since we got with @BreadmanBoxing 🦅 pic.twitter.com/GNahw3ALjo

But then, sounding on the fence, he said, “No smart remarks either, pal, because me and my dad have been eagles fans since we got with @BreadmanBoxing.”
Probably he wanted to share that despite being from Tennessee, along with his father, Caleb Plant got hooked on the Philadelphia Eagles’ legacy and credited trainer Stephen ‘Breadman’ Edwards for the shift. Incidentally, on Christmas Day last year, the Cowboys defeated the Eagles by 40-34 at the AT & T Stadium. The rivalry, distinguished by bitterly fought games, has twice, in 1992 and 2014, been named the best in the NFL.
Benavidez and Plant currently stand Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, on ESPN’s list of the top Super Middleweights. However, both are usually regarded as the best boxers competing at 168 pounds after Canelo Alvarez. The duo would meet for a twelve-round match at Nevada’s MGM Grand Arena on March 12. The bout has yet to receive the kind of attention other big fights of the year have. However, given the credentials and pedigree the boxers carry, it is sure to light the ring on fire, much to fans’ delight.
