Two of the biggest boxing promoters- Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum have had a few scratches in their professional relationship. However, that hasn’t affected Hearns’s admiration for the 89-year-old veteran promoter. Although they failed to stage the unified heavyweight title fight between Fury and Joshua, Hearn still praised Bob Arum for his unique features.
The Matchroom chief connected with FightHype.com and said, “Bob’s actually quite good in that respect. Because I think with Bob [Arum] you could literally burn down his house, and I think he would make a deal with you the next morning for something else. Which I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but that is basically the situation.”

Eddie Hearn added, “I actually love for Bob that because I could give this interview with you now and I could slag off Bob Arum for an hour right? And he would still phone me tomorrow.”

That said, we can still expect the promoters to stage Anthony Joshua against Tyson Fury for all four heavyweight belts. As of now, Joshua is looking to defend his belts against the WBO mandatory Oleksandr Usyk.
Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has confirmed his trilogy bout against Deontay Wilder for the WBC belt. The fight is scheduled to happen on July 24 in Las Vegas. So where does it put Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum’s work at this stage?

Apart from Fury vs Joshua, several alluring matchups have been relevant for both the promoters. Hearn is looking to settle a massive unification between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant at 168 lbs. Also, Top Rank recently hosted Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez, a 140 lbs unification thriller. However, Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua seems to be the biggest of them all.
There’s a lot going in the heavyweight division right now. There are legitimate opponents before Joshua and Fury, with several mandataries in the line. Hence, it may be too early to envision the fight happening.
