Roy Jones Jr talks about the position of Terence Crawford on the G.O.A.T. list
In a recent conversation with Fight Hub TV, Roy Jones Jr was asked about Crawford’s ranking after his enthralling victory over Spence. To this question, Jones Jr gave a very clear answer that took a lot of things into account.
He said, “I’d put him in the top 15 maybe top 10 because he definitely had the skill of a top 5 just that he hasn’t had the opposition that some guys were able to get and that’s not his fault.”
He then went on to elaborate on his reasons. He stated that he hadn’t seen him go against any opposition that was near his weight class. But Jones Jr made it clear that he doesn’t blame Crawford for it, instead he added, “He reminds me of Roy.”
Then he went on to explain why he and Crawford are alike. He stated that both of them didn’t face any problem if they didn’t have any opposition in their weight class, but they have always needed someone near their weight class. After this, he also talked about the comparison going on between Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue for the next pound-for-pound fighter.

Jones Jr reveals his pick for the P4P list
The reporter explained to Roy Jones Jr about the ongoing debate regarding Crawford and Inoue for the pound-for-pound and that there has been a lot of support for the Japanese fighter. Then, he asked Jones Jr’s opinions on this whole situation. Well, mid-way into the question, Jones Jr started shaking his head, which made his stance quite clear.
He elucidated, “Because Inoue also, when he first moved up he lost to Donaire, don’t forget that. ‘Bud’ ain’t lost to nobody, moving up or down, he moved up three times, he lost to nobody.” He claimed that he doesn’t think that Inoue is better than Crawford due to the above-stated reasons.
