The fight between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko has received a lot of scrutiny. Haney is the current undisputed lightweight champion while Lomachenko is the former champion of the division. Statistically, the bout appears to be a game of inches; the current champion has age and size on his side but the former champion has years of experience which overshadows Haney’s reign. In an instance of such competitive match-ups, the corollary is boxing pundits sharing their analysis to predict the fight.

Tim Bradley expects Lomachenko to “exploit” Devin Haney’s flaws
Bradley is highly regarded in the boxing world for his insights and knowledge of the sport. Ahead of the lightweight title clash, Bradley was critical of Haney and his fighting style. In an interview with FightHype, he stated, “The thing with Devin is that when he is in front of you, he likes to take that half a step back or a full step back and make his opponents fall short.”

However, Bradley finds that as a weakness. He explained if the former champion gets comfortable with Haney’s defensive style of fighting then Lomachenko may trap him and land clean punches. He stated, “If Loma gets accustomed and sees the pattern from Haney then he is going to exploit it. He is going to find ways to exploit that. He is going to find ways to sneak in behind his jab when Devin throws his jab.” He added, “It still gonna be tough we still gotta see it.”

It is safe to say that although Bradley envisions a path for Lomachenko to win, he still finds Haney a formidable opponent. And it only goes to show, that the bout between the two is neck to neck.
