The lightweight division in boxing is currently the most stacked it has been in years. Contenders like Gervonta Davis, Shakur Stevenson, and Vasyl Lomachenko all currently compete in this division and are eyeing a shot against undisputed champion, Devin Haney. Moreover, Lomachenko is set to face ‘The Dream’ for the titles on May 20th. However, it looks like Steveson is confident he could easily beat the champion if he remains champion following his bout.
Stevenson has been vocal about his desire to face Haney, boldly claiming that their previous sparring sessions always ended in his favor. Moreover, he was even willing to bet everything that the undisputed champion would not beat him in a fight if they both eventually do meet in the ring.

Shakur Stevenson shuts down Devin Haney and his father
In a recent video call between Haney, his father, and Stevenson, ‘Fearless’ stated that he is as good as Haney and is willing to bet everything he had on this fight. “I bet you on everything I love he don’t. You could bet whatever. I think I’m a bad motherf**ker just like he is. I’m a bad motherf**ker. Y’all know that,” he said.

With Haney’s imminent bout against Lomachenko, Stevenson is closely watching and believes that Haney will emerge victorious, setting up a potential clash between the two later in the year. Moreover, he was also confident that he would easily beat ‘The Dream’ and become an undisputed champion.
Stevenson makes his prediction on a potential match with Haney
In the post-fight interview following his 6th-round victory over Shuichiro Yoshino, Stevenson was quick to call out the undisputed champion. In addition, he claimed that he would ‘smoke’ Haney if the two ever fought.

“I think it’s gonna be easy work, I think I’m gonna smoke him. I think I’m gonna shock everybody by smoking him and making it a real easy fight. Everybody is gonna be like, ‘Damn, you is who you say you is‘,” said Stevenson.
