Rolando Romero is not letting Oscar De Le Hoya easily off the hook. He is ready to take the American promoter by the horns in his hilarious way. Famed for trash-talking and skilled with choice words, ‘Rolly’ had a few amusing takes on the ongoing spat as he exchanged DMs with De La Hoya. The WBA super lightweight champion then leaked their comical conversation, leaving Mayweather Promotions CEO in splits.

De La Hoya’s message read, “Man wtf bro, talking sh*t about me. I have nothing but respect for you. I offered a sh*t load of money to you and you turned it down? Go fight pitbull for pennies bro and good luck.”

In response, Romero retorted with a comical idea. The boxer also took a dig at De La Hoya’s nickname, ‘Fishnets’, a jibe at De La Hoya’s fashion choices, which is a reference to an old photograph. He wrote, “You should thank me and trademark Oscar de la Fishnets. You’re welcome.” the 29-year-old champion then added in the caption, ” Al Haymon > Drug addicted Con-man Amazon > DAZN Good luck P.S I want my royalties on Oscar De la fishnets brand.”

Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe, responded to this entertaining exchange with a laughing emoji. While Romero and De La Hoya’s conversation is entertaining, it also leaves Ryan Garcia in flux without an opponent. Meanwhile, Romero has moved on with his sights on ‘Pitbull’.
