After Francis Ngannou put Tyson Fury in a fix during his debut boxing match, several people thought Ngannou was on his way to becoming the next big name in the sport. However, Anthony Joshua offered a reality check when he put Ngannou to sleep in only two rounds this month. On that note, ahead of his upcoming fight against Mike Tyson, Jake Paul meticulously analyzed Francis Ngannou vs. Anthony Joshua.
In doing so, ‘The Problem Child’ claimed ‘The Gypsy King’ lacked seriousness and focus, squaring off against Ngannou in October last year. Here is what Jake Paul observed during ‘AJ’ vs. ‘The Predator’ which took place on March 8th at Kingdom Arena, Riyadh.

Jake Paul believes Anthony Joshua figured out Francis Ngannou’s style unlike Tyson Fury
Ahead of Francis Ngannou vs. Anthony Joshua, former WBC Cruiserweight champion, Tony Bellew took to social media to declare Tyson Fury had not taken Francis Ngannou seriously. To support his argument, Bellew highlighted the fact that Fury weighed the heaviest in his career at 277¾ lbs against ‘The Predator’. On the other hand, after Joshua had defeated Ngannou, Lennox Lewis echoed Bellew, claiming Fury had taken “Ngannou lightly“. Now, Jake Paul is in agreement with Bellew and Lewis.

“Francis is a great great fighter. But, he fought like an underprepared Tyson Fury. It was a less-prepared Tyson Fury who wasn’t focused and didn’t take the camp seriously,” said ‘The Problem Child’ on BS w/ Jake Paul. Along these lines, Paul claimed that Fury could not figure out Ngannou’s style which was “very strong, stiff, and rigid.”
However, Paul thought that after Joshua studied Ngannou’s fight videos, he became confident about beating ‘The Predator’ in a boxing match. “He saw that Francis had like a slower jab right in the beginning. And he just instantly started pool countering. [It] is like you dip off to the right and throw your right hand. And that’s what he was setting him up with the whole time,” Jake Paul added while meditating on Ngannou vs. Anthony fight.

“And after he threw it in the first round, [for] the first 20-30 seconds, I was like, ‘Oh my God, if that would have landed, he would have knocked him out.’ A couple [of] seconds later, he landed it,” he concluded.
