Undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez will face his fiercest rival in Gennady Golovkin on September 17th for the third time. The bout is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with Alvarez’s belts on the line.

Moreover, the Mexican boxer will be supported by his wife Fernanda Gomez, who will be alongside him during this. Although boxers and athletes are infamous for having multiple wives and girlfriends, Alvarez has been with Gomez for almost 6 years. The pair first met back in 2016 at a charity gala and started dating soon after.

However, the couple preferred to keep their relationship private and out of the spotlight. This would change after they were spotted celebrating Alvarez’s victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at Jewel Nightclub in Las Vegas.

Following this, the two split up for a brief period in 2017 while Gomez was pregnant, but got back together. The couple also has a 5-year-old daughter named Maria.

Although there is not much known about Gomez’s professional life, her Instagram page shows her love and affection for her family. Moreover, she has posted several pictures with Alvarez and their daughter supporting the Mexican champion as he cements his legacy in the sport.
Canelo Alvarez set to make his film debut
After years of finding success in the ring, it is reported that ‘Saul’ will make his big screen debut as well. The undisputed 168-pound champion is set to make an appearance in the boxing film Creed III to be released in March next year.

This was revealed after Hollywood actor Michael B. Jordan posted two Instagram stories with Alvarez on the set. In the first story, the two are seemingly hugging and appear to review a scene in the second. Moreover, Alvarez is now one of the few boxers who will make it to the big screen. He will now join the likes of Mike Tyson on his way to becoming a movie star.
