Jake Paul was in a conversation with the renowned journalist, Ariel Helwani. Talking about Fury’s recent win, Paul said, “Congrats on beating a 10-1 fighter.”

Paul was also sure to mention the lack of an audience for Fury’s fight. He said, “That stadium was empty. When I fight the stadium is full.”

However, he was sure to take further swipes at Fury. He added, “When Tommy fights no one gives a s*** and that’s in his home country.”

Jake Paul was scheduled to fight Tommy Fury on December 18, 2021, in Tampa, Florida.

However, the fight failed to materialize. Severe bacterial chest infection and a broken rib forced Fury to withdraw from the fight. With Fury withdrawing, Paul faced Tyron Woodley for their rematch. Paul won the bout after defeating Woodley with a sensational knockout.

In a recent interview, before his latest fight, Fury called out Paul by mentioning that he will be a step down from his current opponent.

Fury was talking to a reporter from the Queensberry Promotions. In conversation, the reporter asked him about the possibility of a fight with Paul. Fury spoke about letting things take their due course. Further, he also mentioned that Paul is an easy opponent, by saying, “You know I don’t need to train to beat him. He’s an easy touch.”

He even goes on to take a dig at Paul by calling him a YouTuber and a TikToker.

During the post-fight interview, after his victory against Bocianski, Fury called out Paul and asked him to set up a fight. He specifically said, “Get the contract signed you bum! Let’s get it done once and for all!”
