Legendary boxing promoter and professional boxer, Oscar De La Hoya has been making headlines. With the confirmation of the fight between Ryan Garcia (under Golden Boy Promotions) and Gervonta Davis (under Mayweather Promotions), his name is making headlines everywhere. De La Hoya had previously shown his support for Jake Paul for the Paul- Fury fight. He had claimed that Jake Paul would be able to knock out Tommy Fury in their fight. As fate would have it, Paul ended up losing the bout via split decision.

Thus, it’s easy to figure out how ‘the Golden Boy’ must have felt during the fight. Recently, a video posted by American sports reporter Elie Seckbach showed Oscar De La Hoya going berserk during Jake’s fight has gone viral.

In the video, Oscar was seen shadowboxing right next to a TV screen, watching Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury‘s fight. He was seen saying, “This is the last round”. He repeated instructions such as “Faint him“, and “Jab, Jab!”. By the end of the video, Oscar seemed tired.

The comments section of the video was filled with angry fans, however, there were also some who showed their respect for the boxing icon. Recently, the fans also reacted as ‘fight of the year’ when Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia got confirmed.

The former six-division world champion Oscar De la Hoya gave some bits of advice to ‘The Problem Child’ on his fight against Tommy ‘TNT’, in front of a TV. Fans had a lot to say to the boxer.

One fan, 12.adriel, praised Oscar De La Hoya’s ability on destroying his opponent. He wrote, “Prime Oscar destroys majority of boxers today not even debatable either.”

Another fan, dryljackson, said Oscar is still young. He said, “Poor Oscar is still young on the inside.”
